Why did you choose to work at Simformotion? How long have you worked here?
Simformotion is a woman and family-owned company. I value both so it made it an easy decision for me. I started working here 13 years ago when Simformotion first started. They needed someone with Cat dealer experience which was a perfect fit for me since in my previous roles at Caterpillar I worked with Cat dealers.
What’s your job title? What are your job responsibilities?
I’m an Account Services Specialist. I coordinate, schedule and arrange customer installations and training trips for our Training and Support teams and support one of our international sales team members. I also coordinate events that Simformotion team members attend.
Please tell us about your professional experience.
I was an event planner at Caterpillar which meant working with many different groups of people like Caterpillar team members, Cat dealers and customers. I helped coordinate both large and small events, from CONEXPO-CONAGG in Las Vegas that more than 130,000 people attended down to smaller events like customer focus groups of 10 to 20 people.
What have you learned as a professional or in life that you apply to your role?
My first job in retail taught me the importance of keeping the customer in mind, first and foremost. Throughout my career, I’ve always focused on keeping my customers happy whether they be teammates, dealers or actual customers. I treat them the way I want to be treated – the Golden Rule.
How do you measure your success?
When I receive positive feedback from our customers after our Training team members have been to their location for an install or to train them on how to use their simulators. I know they’re satisfied and happy with their simulators.
