Cat® Simulators New Compact Track Loader System Builds Operator Skills and Techniques

Peoria, Ill.— Simformotion™ LLC, a leader in heavy equipment simulator training solutions, announces the release of the new Cat® Simulators Compact Track Loader system.

Set in a busy construction environment, learners gain hands-on training with authentic Cat® controls to learn how to operate a Compact Track Loader. The training exercises include a machine walkaround inspection, maneuvering the machine, grading, using the hammer and box blade attachments, and more. An open training mode in each exercise provides learners with the opportunity to practice and enhance their skills by recreating site-specific scenarios. The motion system allows learners to understand the tipping points of the machine, as the simulated machine responds realistically to the environment, maneuvers and terrain interactions.

“Companies are struggling to hire skilled workers. Training makes a difference. The Compact Track Loader is a versatile machine, so we created a versatile simulator that trains learners using authentic Cat controls and teaches applications found on real-world jobsites. Training programs can integrate the system into their formal classroom programs or take it to worksites for application training,” explained Lara Aaron, Simformotion CEO.

Cat Simulators systems include SimU Campus™, a built-in reporting software that records and reports learners’ simulation sessions, comparing their performance to Caterpillar benchmarks. The training system is available in multiple languages. Additionally, optional VR Edition can enhance a learner’s experience by improving depth perception and providing a broader view of the environment, setting it apart from other systems.

Online companion SimScholars® curriculum, a one-to-one match with the simulator training exercises, is available for every model and can be used in the classroom or for remote learning. The interactive, turn-key training curriculum includes an instructor course guide, learner guides, videos, quizzes and more. By integrating the Cat Simulators Compact Track Loader system with SimScholars curriculum, training programs can provide a unique, blended learning experience.

Simulators provide a safe and cost-effective solution for high schools, colleges and corporate heavy equipment operator training programs. They eliminate the need to take costly machines out of production and allow learners to train anytime, anywhere, regardless of the weather. Cat Simulators can be converted from one model to another using the same base unit and conversion kits, allowing for cross-training on multiple machines while saving space. Their portability makes them easily movable between locations.
