SimScholars® Certificates

What Certificates can I earn and how do I earn them?

Safety Certificate

Available in three versions, each tailored to our served industries, Construction, Mining and Forestry, the safety course covers the basics of personal, machine and jobsite safety. Complete the course and a certificate of completion is earned.

SimScholars® Certificate

Each SimScholars course is a one-to-one match to the simulator model’s training exercises. Learners must achieve a passing score of 75% or higher on the post-test, found at the end of each SimScholars course. Learners may progress through the curriculum without needing to pass a certain threshold for individual lessons. However, to earn the auto-generated SimScholars certificate for a respective machine curriculum, they must achieve at least 75% on the final post-test.

Cat® Simulators or Fletcher® Simulators Certificates

A Certificate of Completion can be earned for passing the hands-on simulator training course. To receive this certificate, learners must pass each simulator exercise for the respective machine. Within the SimScholars LMS, learners can input a Pass/Fail result in the SimU Campus™ score section. Criteria for a “pass” can be adjusted/determined by each organization’s instructor.

Certificates are only available to Cat Simulators or Fletcher Simulators users. Certificates and curriculum cannot be combined with any other brand of simulator.

NCCER-credential

Cat Simulators NCCER Simulator Credential

What is included in SimScholars Curriculum?

Each curriculum is a unique, one-to-one match to a corresponding simulated machine, such as an excavator, dozer, etc. The contents contain learning objectives, learner guide, videos, lessons, how-to steps and graphics, quizzes for each lesson, and a pre- and post-test. An instructor guide is also available, along with training by our curriculum specialist. Materials comprise operating techniques, environment/worksite or other tangential information associated with machine operation.

Learners who use curriculum materials along with simulator training are better prepared for on-the-iron training.
